Here is an excerpt from the EPI Performance Catalog----We dont need no stinkin Clutch Kit......Yea sure, thats what they all say....Those who come in last, that is. Its really pretty simple - the clutches in any CVT machine are one of the most overlooked and abused drivetrain components. Its pretty exciting to order up that new exhaust system, fuel regulator, ignition box or long-travel suspension, isnt it? How about the new over-sized tires and snazzy wheels?? Well guess what! Any time you make any changes like that, you completely change the calibration needs of the CVT system. The bottom line is you might be making more horsepower at the crankshaft with that new exhaust system, but none of it will ever get to the ground if you dont clutch accordingly. Go ahead and put some big mudders on your ATV and head to the mud pit for some fun, but chances are your machine wont turn those big tires nearly as well as it could if your clutching was calibrated to get the torque through to the tires rather than just slipping the belt. Here is Mammothutv.com's take on this Clutch Kit - The Mammoth 800 engine produces plenty of low end torque for pulling trailers, hills, big tires, heavy loads with the stock engine. We use our Mammoth for many heavy duty tasks such as pulling our Project Suzuki Samurai in and out of our shop doors. Our Mammoth can light up the 27 inch Mudlite XTRs while pulling the Samurai in the door on a concrete driveway with no belt slippage. We call it HOOK-UP and EPI calls it HOLD-ON.

•Remember: If you are continually destroying belts, your clutches may be getting too hot. Improving your clutching with a clutch kit will decrease belt slippage and decrease belt heat.
